He has taken initiatives like ''Shiksha Sopan'' to elevate the standard of physics education in India.He is also releasing a hindi edition of his book. ==Birth and early education== Dr. H. C. Verma (Harish Chandra Verma) was born in Darbhanga, Bihar on the auspicious day of Ramnawami in 1952 in a Kayastha family and spent most of his childhood in Patna. He was trained with basic arithmetic by his father Shri Ganesh Prasad Verma, who was a teacher. Verma had gone through sweet and sour experiences of India's school education system, and this gave him low interest with his studies throughout his school year; until high school, making him to even struggle passing his exams.
